Crushed Pink

Last month, our church was hard at work preparing for their anniversary. The bands practiced long hours just to make sure everything was smooth during the program. The members were in full attendance and they even got the old members who don’t play in the band anymore to make some music again.

One of the surprises we got was when a member decided to donate some money to the music team. It was enough to buy some new microphones, a mustang amp, speakers, and a mixer. Because of his generous heart the music was excellent during the anniversary. We had a month long celebration to celebrate our church’s 50th anniversary. It was hard work but they did it all for the glory of God.

Last month, we went to our son’s school to get his workbooks. My son is homeschooled so he always looks forward to visiting his school. He commented on everything he saw from the desks to the classroom chairs. I asked him if he misses going to school but he said no.

I don’t know till when we are going to homeschool him. We want to make sure he grows up to be a good man so we’re taking the time to teach him every day.

So girls, be careful what you put on your hair. Extensions can be glamorous and beautiful but ultimately your precious hair will be suffering.

I love leather. It is durable and classy. It’s not easy to soil. You don’t have to wash it like cloth. All you have to do is clean it with leather cleaning products and it’s as good as new.

That’s why I think it’s better if we invest in products made of leather. Like a brand new leather sofa, for example. Our sofa is two years old now and the dark seat has ugly white patches. If only we had leather there won’t be ugly marks like this one. That’s why our next sofa will definitely be leather. We get more value with our money that way.

Organizing a room is something every homeowner must take care of. If they don’t take care of the clutter pretty soon it will take over any room. One of the most effective storage must haves are trays. Those that you can stack on top of each other are the best. You can put many items inside and get them out of the way. The room will look less cluttered and more organized. You can find what you’re looking for in a snap if you label the trays correctly too.

I suggest you but this if you want to organize any room. I just bought two small ones for our chargers and they made a huge difference. Now we don’t have to look all over to find our chargers. After use we also know where to put them back.

This August is going to be the first year anniversary of my husband giving up his leather briefcase in favor of working at home. We were delighted when he decided to make the career switch because it meant an end to his night shift schedule and aside from the obvious fact that we’re going to see him more often. Looking back on the past year I can say it was the best decision he made. Our kids have benefited tremendously since they got to spend more quality time with their dad. He now has time to teach them basketball and guitar every day. This move also meant he was able to give his service to the Lord through our church any day of the week.

So many things have changed during the past year. I’m glad that we are enjoying the benefits of his work-at-home life. It’s really different if you have the head of the family constantly in the house. The family is more in harmony and the relationship with each other improves a lot.

When I gave birth to my little boy I was expecting a push present from my husband. A push present is a gift the husband gives to his wife for delivering their baby safely. I don’t know why I want one. I just like to remember the day by and what better than him giving me a jewelry.

Anyway, it doesn’t have to be an expensive diamond or gold jewelry. He can buy me one made of Chrysoprase Beads and I’d be happy. Sadly, hubby doesn’t know about push presents. So maybe I have to tell him all about it first so he can give me one the next time around.

When we went to the second biggest mall in our country we were not prepared to the lot of walking it involves just to get around. We had with us two boys including our youngest who is only a year old. Needless to say, we were exhausted after a few hours of walking around.

Had I found a knee walker for sale there I would have bought it right on the stop. My knees were killing me and I felt like an old woman instead of someone in her early thirties. It didn’t help that we forgot our stroller and had to carry our baby around.

My helper told me she will be absent on Monday. She has to go to the city hall to get a document that her daughter will need on her impending marriage this August.

This reminded of the beautiful city hall in our city. It’s one of those arch metal buildings that you see on TV. This signifies that our city is moving fast forward. We’re happy to see some noticeable improvements after the boom of the nearby BGC. I’m proud to say that we live in a nice city in the heart of the metro which is so close to everything.

When the men’s fellowship in our church held their sports fest last month, my eldest was delighted. It was the first time he saw his dad in action. His dad promptly rose up to the challenge and enlisted in three sports – darts, table tennis, and basketball. He didn’t get any medal for the first two but their basketball team won the championship. When they were given the medals and trophy nobody could be more happier than my eldest.

I hope this inspires his young mind to be active in sports. He is quite lucky he has a dad who has time to teach him sports. Hope some day he can win trophies for swimming, basketball, or any sports he puts his mind too.
