Last Sunday, hubby and I had a date. Well, it was supposed to be a date but it turned into a mini-shopping for me! I found out that the nearest Forever 21 was at Makati so I chose Makati for our weekly date. We ate at Wendy’s, reminisced on our dating days and then I hurriedly pulled him to the direction of the F21 store at SM Makati. Now, the problem with shopping at Forever 21 is there are so many clothes it’s so hard to choose. Hubby waited outside while I shopped for clothes and before I know it an hour has passed already. We had to rush home because I am still breastfeeding my baby and I know he’s waiting for me. Hubby barely has enough time to buy some cuff links, a mouse that he uses for work, and his favorite caramel popcorn because of my shopping spree. Anyway, I’m so glad I have an understanding husband. Next time I won’t forget to bring the kids so hubby won’t get bored waiting for me while I shop. They can play at the playhouse or shop for toys while waiting for me.

My hubby is a guitar player. He has learned to play guitar on his own when he was a teenager. Later on, his Dad enrolled him in Yamaha School of Music so he was able to hone his craft. He is a very good guitar player and he was even accepted as part of the 7101 Music Nation – a group of music enthusiasts here in our country.

Although he never pursued this as a profession, his love for his hobby is evident because he makes time to go out and play music with his friends as often as he can. He also plays his instrument at our church regularly. That’s why we never run out of extra guitar strings in our house. With guitars, you never know when you need an extra string handy.

One thing mothers enjoy is buying appliances from washing machines to LCD TVs, and even portable radios give us joy. Since we have just gotten a new washing machine and haven’t even finished paying it off we can’t buy any new appliances as of the moment. But that didn’t stop me from admiring this bladeless fan I saw at the mall.

My youngest is at the age where he wants to touch everything his eyes can see. I let him be most of the time but of course I draw the line when he sets his eyes on the electric fan. If we have blameless fans at home instead then I wouldn’t have a heart attack every time I see him near it.

I wish we can buy one in the future. But I am having second thoughts too because of the price. Don’t you think it’s too expensive even at 50% off?
