We just visited the newest baby in our circle of friend. He is so small and so cute all of us were in awe the first time we saw him. Me and my husband couldn’t help but reminisce the first time we saw our own children. It was such a happy and blessed feeling and we are eternally grateful for our two bundles of joy. They give us happiness every day of their lives.

I;m sure our couple friends are feeling the same way now as we did when our children were born. They waited long to have their baby. In a few months they will have their baby baptized and of course we will be in attendance. As early as now I will prepare gift card envelopes to give them as a gift for the baby’s baptism.

Hubby revealed that he has plans of replacing my lost wedding ring. It was supposed to be his gift to me this Valentine. I have not been wearing a ring for the past three years ever since I lost it. I know women love wearing jewelry but I have to admit jewelry and me don’t go well together. I say this after losing the gold bracelets my mom and grandma gave me, one necklace, and a couple of steel rings.

Anyway, I am willing to give wearing jewelry it another try. After all, I don’t want my husband’s gift to go to waste, do I?

For our second son’s first birthday we decided to hold a small party at home. For the menu we decided to grill some pork along with the usual spaghetti and cake. Since we didn’t have an electric grill we borrowed one of those charcoal grills from our neighbor. Then my helper was the one in charge of grilling. The experience so traumatized her that she didn’t finish grilling it all. She said her eyes hurt so bad from the smoke. Oh well, so next time we have to make sure to buy an electric grill if we want to have a barbecue party.

Last Sunday, hubby and I had a date. Well, it was supposed to be a date but it turned into a mini-shopping for me! I found out that the nearest Forever 21 was at Makati so I chose Makati for our weekly date. We ate at Wendy’s, reminisced on our dating days and then I hurriedly pulled him to the direction of the F21 store at SM Makati. Now, the problem with shopping at Forever 21 is there are so many clothes it’s so hard to choose. Hubby waited outside while I shopped for clothes and before I know it an hour has passed already. We had to rush home because I am still breastfeeding my baby and I know he’s waiting for me. Hubby barely has enough time to buy some cuff links, a mouse that he uses for work, and his favorite caramel popcorn because of my shopping spree. Anyway, I’m so glad I have an understanding husband. Next time I won’t forget to bring the kids so hubby won’t get bored waiting for me while I shop. They can play at the playhouse or shop for toys while waiting for me.

My hubby is a guitar player. He has learned to play guitar on his own when he was a teenager. Later on, his Dad enrolled him in Yamaha School of Music so he was able to hone his craft. He is a very good guitar player and he was even accepted as part of the 7101 Music Nation – a group of music enthusiasts here in our country.

Although he never pursued this as a profession, his love for his hobby is evident because he makes time to go out and play music with his friends as often as he can. He also plays his instrument at our church regularly. That’s why we never run out of extra guitar strings in our house. With guitars, you never know when you need an extra string handy.

One thing mothers enjoy is buying appliances from washing machines to LCD TVs, and even portable radios give us joy. Since we have just gotten a new washing machine and haven’t even finished paying it off we can’t buy any new appliances as of the moment. But that didn’t stop me from admiring this bladeless fan I saw at the mall.

My youngest is at the age where he wants to touch everything his eyes can see. I let him be most of the time but of course I draw the line when he sets his eyes on the electric fan. If we have blameless fans at home instead then I wouldn’t have a heart attack every time I see him near it.

I wish we can buy one in the future. But I am having second thoughts too because of the price. Don’t you think it’s too expensive even at 50% off?

My husband said we bought to much gadget this year that next year we will take a break from buying gadgets. I couldn’t agree more that’s why for Christmas I didn’t look at the mens gadgets section. Instead I bought something that he’ll use frequently and give him comfort – none other than a soft and fluffy pillow. LOL!

Anyway, it was hard to buy someone a gift when you’re with him all the time! When we finally went our separate ways at the mall I had a chance to buy my gift real quick. Eventually, we had to meet up again and I had a hard time hiding my gift! haha In the end he saw it but I still wrapped it and put it under the tree. My son ruined his surprise and told me they brought a gift for me too while I was away. So no surprises for the two of us on Chrismas day but we’re still happy. You see, this is the first time we exchanged gifts as husband and wife.

When my youngest was born and my helper started going back to school again, I hired another helper to help around the house. She is also a relative of our first helper but much older. I like that she knows how to work around the house especially when it comes to cooking food. She also takes care of our baby when I have too much work to do. Too bad she will be leaving by February to attend her daughter’s wedding. I’m still not sure if I will hire another one when she leaves. I want to save money but at the same time doing all the chores around the house is really tiring! I got to discuss this more with my husband and ask what he thinks.

It is the best ice cream ever! Even better than their flavored ones. It’s so affordable too, only P10 for a small cone.

My son has gotten the sundae cone bug from me and the last time we went to the mall we ordered twice. Here is my son ordering from the cashier. I explained fast food chains don’t need a barcode scanner unlike in groceries because the latter need to scan their items first.

Phones are not only for calling and texting but it’s also multipurpose. It can help us get connected through our social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter when we’re too busy to turn on our laptop. It can also record special moments in our daily lives when our cameras are out of reach. Our cellphones are so small and so handy that most of the time we opt to use it instead of our other digital devices. Good thing phones have become so cheap that we don’t have to break the bank anymore to buy a good quality phone. I want the Samsung Galaxy Y that I’ve been hearing about and my hubby wants a Blackberry Curve. Hope we can buy this for Christmas.
