Since the dawn of the new decade people’s TV viewing habits have been mostly identified with soap operas and news programs left and right. No matter what channel you tune in to, your eyes will be treated to mostly dramatic series played one after the other, or news programs which air mostly bad news. However, all that is about to change with the arrival of Willing Willie.

After many controversies, what with him jumping ship from one TV channel where he was one of the primary artists for several years to a channel that’s trying to battle it out with bigger networks and slowly making its presence felt, Willie Revillame is back to doing what he loves most: hosting a variety game show whose goal is not only to make people happy but also to enrich the lives of the not-so-fortunate ones.

The show was launched just last Saturday, October 23, and some are welcoming the show with open arms being that it’s a far cry from the normal news programs and soap operas that broadcast during the 6:30 to 8:30PM slot. On the other hand, others say that Willing Willie is just like Revillame’s defunct TV show, albeit on a different channel. They say everything is almost the same, from the dancers to the games. What do the wheels of fortune hold for this show? Only time can tell.
